Historically, crude birth rate per 1,000 people in Vietnam reached an all time high of 41.6 births in 1960 and an all time low of 10.5 births in 2024. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, crude birth rate per 1,000 people in Cambodia amounted to 19.7 births, 9.12 births in China, 20.8 births in Laos and 6.57 births in Thailand in 2024.
Vietnam has been ranked 115th within the group of 174 countries we follow in terms of crude birth rate per 1,000 people, 21 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
