Historically, cottonseed production in Turkey reached an all time high of 1,542 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 360 kt in 1961. When compared to Turkey's main peers, cottonseed production in Bulgaria amounted to 0.950 kt, 901 kt in Greece, 0.002 kt in Iraq and 75.0 kt in Iran in 2021.
