Commerzbank's capital adequacy ratio reached 16.3% at the end of 2018, down from 18.3% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 19.2% in 2013 and an all time low of 8.70% in 1993.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 13.4% at the end of 2018, down from 15.2% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 96.4% at the end of 2018, up from 94.9% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 167%.
