Coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption rose 55.4% to < 0.001% in Cyprus in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Cyprus reached an all time high of < 0.001% in 1987 and an all time low of < 0.001% in 2013. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Egypt amounted to < 0.001%, 0.006% in Greece, 0.001% in Israel and 0.012% in Turkey in 2015.

Cyprus has been ranked 117th within the group of 126 countries we follow in terms of coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption, 20 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
