Coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption fell 11.5% to 0.006% in Greece in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Greece reached an all time high of 0.014% in 2001 and an all time low of 0.006% in 2015. When compared to Greece's main peers, coal consumption as a share of worldwide consumption in Albania amounted to < 0.001%, 0.005% in Bulgaria, < 0.001% in Macedonia and 0.012% in Turkey in 2015.
