Cigarette consumption per capita rose 0.057% to 1,398 per year in Slovenia in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, cigarette consumption per capita in Slovenia reached an all time high of 2,509 per year in 2008 and an all time low of 1,290 per year in 2014. When compared to Slovenia's main peers, cigarette consumption per capita in Austria amounted to 1,446 per year, 1,501 per year in Croatia, 686 per year in Hungary and 1,174 per year in Italy in 2016.
