Historically, chemical wood pulp production in Germany reached an all time high of 1,637,000 kt in 2017 and an all time low of 450,000 kt in 1965. When compared to Germany's main peers, chemical wood pulp production in Austria amounted to 1,323,113 kt, 279,490 kt in Belgium, 1,523,200 kt in France and 1,036,000 kt in Poland in 2018.
