Historically, cereal production in Tanzania reached an all time high of 8,867 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 985 kt in 1968. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, cereal production in Kenya amounted to 4,351 kt, 2,087 kt in Mozambique, 3,518 kt in Uganda and 2,976 kt in Zambia in 2015.
