Historically, cereal production in Nepal reached an all time high of 9,458 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 3,126 kt in 1966. When compared to Nepal's main peers, cereal production in Bangladesh amounted to 53,891 kt, 162 kt in Bhutan, 550,018 kt in China and 293,778 kt in India in 2015.
