Historically, cattle meat production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 662 kt in 1993 and an all time low of 288 kt in 2001. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, cattle meat production in China amounted to 7,180 kt, 120 kt in Kyrgyzstan, 1,621 kt in Russia and 1,028 kt in Uzbekistan in 2022.
