Historically, cadmium production in the USA reached an all time high of 4,293 tonnes in 1970 and an all time low of 500 tonnes in 2015. When compared to USA's main peers, cadmium production in Canada amounted to 1,159 tonnes, 8,200 tonnes in China, 1,959 tonnes in Japan and 1,301 tonnes in Mexico in 2015.
