Broad money as a share of GDP rose 5.65% to 0.234% in Tanzania in 2023, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, broad money as a share of GDP in Tanzania reached an all time high of 0.246% in 2010 and an all time low of 0.044% in 1966. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, broad money as a share of GDP in Kenya amounted to 0.400%, 0.500% in Mozambique, 0.217% in Uganda and 0.299% in Zambia in 2023.
