Bank equity as a share of bank assets rose 2.13% yoy to 10.4% in Mexico in 1Q2025, according to the National Central Bank. This is 4.72% more than in the previous quarter.
Historically, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Mexico reached an all time high of 10.9% in 4Q2021 and an all time low of 6.93% in 1Q2005.
Mexico has been ranked 21st within the group of 48 countries we follow in terms of bank equity as a share of bank assets, 45 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
