Historically, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in Belgium reached an all time high of 1.78 litres in 2018 and an all time low of 0.580 litres in 2015. When compared to Belgium's main peers, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in France amounted to 7.26 litres, 8.57 litres in Germany, 12.5 litres in Luxembourg and 0.420 litres in Netherlands in 2021.
