Historically, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in Mongolia reached an all time high of 10.1 litres in 2012 and an all time low of 1.19 litres in 1961. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in China amounted to 7.47 litres, 4.63 litres in Kazakhstan, 2.47 litres in Kyrgyzstan and 7.91 litres in Russia in 2021.
