Historically, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in Croatia reached an all time high of 4.65 litres in 1998 and an all time low of 0.550 litres in 1999. When compared to Croatia's main peers, alcoholic beverage consumption per capita in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 14.2 litres, 2.69 litres in Montenegro, 5.34 litres in Serbia and 2.33 litres in Slovenia in 2021.
