Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 22.6% in 1997 and an all time low of 5.08% in 2009. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Greece amounted to 3.66%, 6.62% in Romania, 9.84% in Serbia and 8.88% in Turkey in 2015.
