Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Mali reached an all time high of 69.1% in 1967 and an all time low of 35.0% in 2002. When compared to Mali's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Algeria amounted to 9.39%, 22.3% in Burkina Faso, 15.2% in Mauritania and 38.3% in Niger in 2015.
