Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Malaysia reached an all time high of 35.6% in 1961 and an all time low of 8.01% in 2001. When compared to Malaysia's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Cambodia amounted to 35.3%, 0.036% in Singapore, 12.5% in Thailand and 19.4% in Vietnam in 2015.
