Historically, access to electricity as a share of population in Vietnam reached an all time high of 100% in 2021 and an all time low of 74.1% in 1990. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, access to electricity as a share of population in Cambodia amounted to 95.0%, 100% in China, 96.5% in Laos and 100% in Thailand in 2023.
